Headquartered on Teesside, the company runs one of the largest independently owned tank container fleets in the world, with offices and depots spanning every continent. Coordinating an operation of that scale generates an enormous volume of documentation — shipping paperwork, customs declarations, compliance records and operational reports — across a busy head office and a network of international sites.
Bulkhaul's print estate had grown organically over many years into a patchwork of devices from multiple manufacturers, each with its own consumables, service arrangements and running costs. There was little visibility over who was printing what, where, or at what cost. Ageing hardware was prone to downtime, toner was being ordered reactively across departments, and the IT team was spending valuable time troubleshooting print issues that pulled them away from higher-priority work.
